Now we all know we live in a world where customer service is becoming the new marketing tool. To over-deliver in service to a customer is by far the most valuable thing to a business.
Having said that I would like to congratulate one of our New Cars Sales Division, Pranesh Rajaram the Sales Executive, Mala Ajodha our F&I and lastly Ruben Govender our Driver, for delivering excellent customer service to one of our clients. The executed our core values and ethic to a customer as the Ford brand to perfection.
Miss Lindiwe Ntimbane who recently purchased a Ford Fiesta from our Showroom, was out of words and extremely excited about the service she received from the staff above mentioned. She wrote an email to our dealership in which she had this to say:
“I would just like to appreciate all the hard work and effort he put into the deal. I’m not a difficult customer but I’m one of those specific ones.
He went out of his way to ensure that all Finance work is done and kept on updating me as the deal went. He also made effort to make sure I get the colour that I was comfortable in. Having struggled a bit with finding the specific one, I was happy with the Grey that I own. I had never test driven or seen the vehicle, let alone met Pranesh. I had enquired online and the response was speedy. I relied on his expertise and what he sold to me, which is a skill many Sales Executives don’t have. I must also add that there were times when I bugged him after hours and he never complained. The first time I saw that vehicle and drove it was when I took delivery. I had already finalised a deal with another dealership and there service they gave me made me move to Ford, its car I have never driven ever in my life, however, Pranesh made the best decision for me.
Having been in the Motor Industry myself as a stock control and Warranty’s Clerk for a couple of years, I found nothing to critic about you Sales Executive.
The Delivery was a Cherry on top, the vehicle was ready on time which all the specifications in place. Other sales Executives were friendly and also congratulated me on the purchase, which made a special ambience. I honestly felt like my vehicle was the only one in the showroom, I had all the attention ïŠ. The delivery and fitting of the plates by Reuben was also efficient and a hassle free exercise.
Thanks to all three of you for the team effort as well as Mala with her great service. I will surely recommend your dealership to friends and family.”
A great day to you all.

The new Ford B-MAX, which is scheduled for launch in South Africa in the third quarter of this year, features a unique design, superb fuel economy and unrivalled small car technology, making it among the most advanced compact cars on the market.
“The Ford B-MAX really challenges traditional small car thinking,” says Tracey Delate, General Marketing Manager at Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA). “Its ingenious design opens the doors ”“ quite literally ”“ to exciting new ideas about what's possible with a compact vehicle.”
Based on Ford’s global B-car platform ”“ shared with the highly successful new Fiesta ”“ the B-MAX represents the company’s vision for a premium compact multi-activity vehicle (MAV), combining outstanding space and versatility within a smart and stylish exterior.
The B-MAX’s Ford Easy Access Door System provides unobstructed entry and exit with hinged front doors and pillarless rear sliding doors, integrating the central body pillars into the doors rather than it being part of the bodyshell itself.
When both front and rear doors are open there is outstanding access to the interior, with a huge, clear aperture of 1.5 metres wide, making it significantly easier to enter or exit the rear seats, attend to children in child seats, or load and unload shopping.
The flexible seating system features 60/40 split rear seats that can be folded flat with a simple “one-hand, one-motion” mechanism. Ford engineers developed innovative solutions to ensure the B-MAX delivers the same outstanding levels of crash protection as vehicles with a more conventional structure.
This exciting new model also achieves exceptional fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. Although the full line-up will only be revealed at launch, the range will include the 3 times “International Engine of the Year” 1.0-litre Ford EcoBoost petrol engine.
The innovative new B-MAX offers a wide range of Ford’s latest smart technologies, including SYNC®, Ford’s voice-activated in-car connectivity system. It is also equipped with Ford MyKey® functionality, an auto dimming rear view mirror and full length panoramic roof.
B-MAX is true to the Ford fun-to-drive brand DNA with superlative driving dynamics featuring Torque Vectoring Control for superior traction and cornering. The car offers outstanding agility and manoeuvrability designed for the cut and thrust of city driving.
Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) has extended the Fiesta range with the fitment of the award-winning 1.0 EcoBoost engine across a wider range of models, and the addition of a further two 1.0 EcoBoost models equipped with the advanced PowerShift automatic transmission.
“We have extended the superb 1.0 EcoBoost engine to more models to offer our customers improved performance, lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions,” says Tracey Delate, General Marketing Manager, Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa.
“The advanced PowerShift automatic transmission is now available across all three specification grades, ensuring that we’re able to satisfy the growing demand for compact automatic models.
“At the same time, we have revised the pricing of the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost models to make it even more attractive. The Fiesta, therefore, offers even better value for money and makes Ford’s popular B-segment hatchback more appealing than ever.”
The 1.0 EcoBoost won International Engine of the Year for the past three years in a row (2012 to 2014), and offers exceptional performance matched to frugal consumption.
It is now also available in the new Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost PowerShift Ambiente, an entry-level model with the sophisticated six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for seamless power delivery and rapid shifts. It combines the efficiency, optimised gear ratios and driving enjoyment of a manual gearbox with the smoothness and ease-of-use of a conventional automatic.
Later this year the 1.0 EcoBoost Ambiente with manual transmission will be added to the line-up to complete the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost range.
The Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost Titanium is also now available with the PowerShift transmission, thus providing the option of manual or automatic derivatives across the entire range in Ambiente, Trend and Titanium versions.
In the case of the five-speed manual derivatives, the 1.0 EcoBoost delivers 92kW of power and 170Nm of torque. Combined cycle fuel consumption is rated at 4.3 l/100 km* with a CO2 emissions rating of 99 g/km*.
On the PowerShift derivatives, the torque remains unchanged at 170Nm, with power rated at 74kW. Average fuel consumption is 4.9 l/100km* with CO2 emissions of 114 g/km.
All models are sold with a four-year/120 000km comprehensive warranty, four-year/60 000km service plan, three-year/unlimited km roadside assistance and five-year/unlimited km corrosion warranty.
Service intervals are every 20 000km on the EcoBoost petrol engines, and 15 000km for the TDCi derivatives.
At a glittering gala dinner, held at Emperor’s Palace, Gauteng on Tuesday night, the all-new Ford Fusion has placed second in the 2016 WesBank / SAGMJ Car of the Year (COTY) awards. A fantastic achievement for Ford's sedan newcomer, bolstering Independent Media’s Motoring's choice of the Fusion as the Best Family Car for 2015.
This is no mean feat considering the scope and strength of the competition, with the ultimate accolade at the end of the night going to the game-changing Volvo XC90 premium SUV.
Judged by a panel of 26 motoring journalists, 12 finalist cars are chosen to compete for Car of the Year and are awarded points and scored on a variety of categories including interior design & practicality, exterior aesthetics, safety & technology, performance, handling & dynamics, efficiency, value for money and overall excellence.
From the SAGMJ, "Beaten by a narrow yet decisive margin, both the Ford Fusion and Mazda2 are for all intents and purposes winners in their own right and respective segments."
“The Fusion is one of the most technologically advanced Fords yet introduced in South Africa,” says Tracey Delate, General Marketing Manager, Ford Motor Company Sub-Saharan Africa. “It’s fitting that it has been selected as a Car of the Year finalist, as it embodies Ford’s latest design language and its most sophisticated technologies, many of which set new benchmarks in its class.
“From convenience technologies such as SYNC®2 and Active Park Assist to safety technologies including Pre-Collision Alert with Head-Up Display, Fusion boasts an outstanding array of safety, security, convenience and comfort features typically associated with luxury cars competing in the premium segment.”
