The Ecosport line-up includes:
1) Taking pride in leading fuel economy with the line-up now starting with a 1.5 litre Ti-VCT 3-cylinder 91kW petrol engine with a claimed combined fuel average of 6.4 litres per 100 km and only comes in a 5-speed manual transmission (available in Ambiente).
2) The award-winning 1.0 litre EcoBoost 3-cylinder 92 kW turbocharged petrol engine with an average of 5.4 litres per 100 km in the 6-speed manual version and 6.3 litres per 100 km in the 6-speed automatic transmission (available in Trend and Titanium).
3) And lastly, the 1.5 litre 4-cylinder 74kW turbodiesel engine with an incredible average of 4.6 litres per 100 km in a 5-speed manual transmission (only available in Ambiente).
It is plain to see big performance is in and regular visits to the fuel stations are out! So, you can now really “Go Further” thanks to Ford’s innovation and excellent engineering.
With a bold new exterior design, the Ecosport always looks all set and ready for a good time. At just over 4 metres, the EcoSport is the same length as a Ford Fiesta which makes it easy to drive and to park. Elevated ride height allows you to peer over traffic jams and see more of what’s going on around you. Also, it’s never been easier to get in and out, thanks to the perfectly positioned seats!
The EcoSport is very spacious for a compact SUV and quite versatile with smart storage solutions, boot space of 333 litres and the rear seats can also be folded down to give you more space to load bigger objects.
It has a ground clearance of 206mm which makes overcoming potholes and harsh road conditions a super easy task. Ford’s Ecosport also proofed a remarkable water wading depth of 550 mm! Even though the Ecosport doesn’t have a 4×4 option, it still has something to offer when it comes to water crossing, which can come in very handy especially areas that are prone to flooding.
