Clean Your Battery Terminals

Clean them by disconnecting cables in order (negative first), brushing terminal posts with a cleaning tool or wire brush, and then wiping away grease and acid residue. Start by disconnecting the negative cable first and then the positive, and clean up the battery terminal posts with a handy cleaning tool or wire brush. Do the same for the cable terminals. Then wipe away grease and acid residue from the battery with a paper towel. Finally, reinstall the positive cable followed by the negative cable. Ta-da!
