Family 4×4 Day With CMH Ford Durban
The Valley we drove through is known to us as The Valley of 1000 Hills. What an incredible experience and sights. The sounds and smells this stunning valley has to offer.
We all met at the Assagay Hotel at 7 am, all left in convoy for the Valley of 1000 Hills. This was a spectacular drive through some of the most splendid scenery that KwaZulu Natal has to offer, as we followed the Dusi River to where it meets with the mighty Umgeni River. We stopped at the rapid called the Slide. We all parked our vehicles on the rocks. Pulled out the tables, set everything up, clients all had something to eat and drink while amazing photos were being taken.
We then drove through the Valley, with reasonably steep inclines and descents with some incredible river crossings where you put your arm out you could touch the water, some of the 8 river crossings were somewhat scary, but all had good laughs and taking photos of the front and back vehicle of them, Around 11.30 we stopped at the Mqeku site where we made hamburgers for lunch. Most of the clients swam including the children, where some relaxed under the trees on their deck chairs. Everyone had an awesome time. We all left at 1.30 in convoy again, all stopped at the Mfula store to support the locals, where we drove through the most amazing UMzinyathi water fall.
