Teeing Off for Conservation: Endangered Wildlife Trust Golf Day with Ford Wildlife Foundation & CMH Ford Ballito
On 17 July, the lush greens of Simbithi Country Club came alive with purpose as we proudly participated in the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) Golf Day, an event where passion for wildlife met the power of community. As the title sponsor, the Ford Wildlife Foundation, together with CMH Ford Ballito, helped drive this incredible initiative forward — one swing at a time.
More Than Just a Game
This wasn’t just a day on the course — it was a gathering of conservation champions. With a full field of players, nature enthusiasts, local supporters, and special guests, the atmosphere was electric with unity and commitment to protecting South Africa’s most endangered species.
Fireside Chats with the Meat Ranger
Adding heart and humour to the event was none other than The Meat Ranger, South Africa’s beloved wildlife storyteller and conservationist. With his signature wit and raw, authentic bush tales, he reminded us why conservation matters — and why action is urgent.
From campfire chats to real-life ranger stories, guests were reminded that the battle to protect our natural heritage is far from over — but with unity, there is hope.
Powered by Purpose: Ford Wildlife Foundation
At the heart of the day was the incredible work of the Ford Wildlife Foundation (FWF). For over 30 years, FWF has been empowering conservation projects across Southern Africa by providing reliable Ford Ranger vehicles to researchers and conservationists working in the field.
Their mission is simple but powerful: support those who protect nature. Whether it’s tracking endangered species, rehabilitating wildlife, or preserving ecosystems, the foundation is there — on the ground and in motion.
CMH Ford Ballito – Proud Partner in Conservation
As part of the wider Ford family, CMH Ford Ballito was honoured to stand alongside FWF and EWT at this inspiring event. For us, it’s not just about selling vehicles — it’s about driving change, protecting our planet, and giving back to the community that supports us.
Driving Conservation Forward
The Endangered Wildlife Trust Golf Day was a powerful reminder that together, we can make a difference. With the help of our partners, sponsors, and passionate supporters, we’re proud to play a role in conserving the wild spaces and species that make South Africa so extraordinary.
